Sara reached out to me a few months back asking if she could bring her dogs along to her engagement shoot as they were traveling to Carmel for a few days! I love where I live so much – partially because it’s one of the most Dog Friendly areas in the entire world! So many restaurants and shops have dog treats, water bowls, and even dog-approved menu options and dedicated dining areas within the restaurant! The craziest part? They’re really nice, high end restaurants. I just love it.
Anyway, being the dog lover I am, I said of course to the two little additions and we went on to determine a variety of locations that would showcase their trip! We had everything planned and were all very excited. Their shoot day came and we began in the Pfeiffer Redwoods. Their dogs were behaved so well and loved that I snuck treats every so often for some photo ops.
Then, about halfway through their shoot, the darkest, strangest colored fog rolled in and completely wiped out all of the sunlight. Fog can be difficult to shoot in depending on how it’s refracting the light- In this case, it was a weird green tone that I just couldn’t get to look natural, so we decided to postpone the rest of their shoot until the following afternoon, when the fog was supposed to lift. Luckily, the following day was pretty clear and we managed to get the rest of their session! These two (four) were so much fun to adventure with!
