A little backstory to this amazing couple:
Lauren and I went to college together, and when I was very first getting into photography she volunteered to model for me. A while later, I took her brother’s senior photos. We always talked about how when she got engaged and married, she wanted me to take her engagements and wedding photos. Well, Looch popped the question at the top of the Space Needle and I knew there was going to be some serious magic happening photographically.
Geographically, we had some challenges. I moved from Southern California to Central California, and she moved from Seattle to Kingsville, Tx. Due to Looch’s service requirements, he can’t really leave Texas. Their wedding will be shot in Seattle, in May. And I’m all the way in Monterey! So, after some careful and crafty planning, we formulated Plan A. Plan A fell through upon a few schedules changing on their end. Plan B was to be in San Antonio for engagements a weekend in the middle of October, that they both managed to get approved leave for. No joke, the stars aligned and Austin and I made it to San Antonio and I am sure glad everything worked out. We spent the entire weekend with these two, and had the best time traveling around the area, eating amazing BBQ, sharing stories and exploring.
Part one of their adorable engagements took place at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. This little courtyard was home to some unique wildlife, including deer, ducks (ducks with afro’s) and peacocks.
