Regardless of the inquiry type (wedding, elopement, proposal, engagement, etc.) we truly understand this is a special time in your life and having it captured beautifully is at the top of your list. We take every photography session very seriously, and are truly honored to be the ones entrusted with preserving your special moments.

 

Upon booking, you will receive a customized digital guide for your coverage type, that will include all our insights on how to make the most of your photographic coverage. This includes wardrobe tips, timing tips, location ideas, and more. We are so excited to provide these to all our couples, as our goal is for you to get the very most out of your time with us.

 

We do more than just take your photos. We will adventure with you, we want to get to know you and end up becoming best friends by the end of the day. We will help you plan each and every detail of your day- from the location, to timing, coordination, and everything in between (to make sure the photos are even better!) We work with you to find vendors to make your vision come to life, fluff your dress, pin that boutonniere, ensure the bouquet is solid, fix your hair, and more. We are very invested in each and every one of our clients, and we aim to make you feel comfortable, beautiful, and ultimately, have the very best experience while you’re with us.

We’ve all been there – A friend says they’ll take your photos, or shoot your wedding for you, for free. That’s pretty hard to pass up, we get it. Anyone can take a good photo. When you hire a professional, you’re getting more than just a lucky shot. Not only are you making a calculated investment in preserving your memories, but you are also supporting a local small business.

 

Why make the investment in professional photos, when everyone has a camera nowdays? We invest thousands upon thousands into our gear – the purchase of, the updating of, the maintenance of (believe me, when we’re on the beach, sand gets in and around our cameras). We spend countless hours researching and learning new techniques, tips and tricks to make your experience flawless and ensure you have the best time with us. Your experience is key to us. We invest heavily into our software, our education, and most importantly, our storage for your images. We have three external hard drives to ensure your photos are always safe. We also have backup recovery software, in the event something happened to all three of those hard drives. Things happen, don’t chance losing every moment and being stuck with iPhone photos from your wedding day.

 

Speaking of wedding coverage, we have photographed almost every scenario. We know when, and where to be. We’ve seen it all. We can (and usually do!) end up being your last minute bridal party add ons. We’ll help your groom tie his tie, we’ll help you get into your dress and re-attach the veil. We fluff your train, we jump for joy with you after you’ve said “I Do”. We get you drinks, coordinate details, and ensure that everything is flawless. We’re part coordinator, part new best friends, and 100% there to capture everything as it’s happening. We know how to accommodate sudden changes, cute in between moments during your day, showcasing every detail in the purest form of memory. We have shot together for years, and we work together seamlessly. Even if every other detail falls apart on your wedding day, our goal is to make the photos tell a story of real, true love.

 

Okay, so maybe you’re not getting married- even if we spend just an hour or two with you shooting, why is that worth $350+? Because we spend years honing in our style, learning the craft, perfecting poses and the technique in how to make not just take a pretty photo. After your session, we immediately make 2 backups of all the raw files. Then we spend an hour or two culling (going through all the photos to pick the best of the best), and another hour or two editing & fine tuning the final photos. They get finely curated, hand edits, then another round in high-contrast black and white. We then export with lossless compression (ensuring your file size is small, but quality remains), and upload to your private, Pinterest-style online password protected gallery, with the rights to share on social media, make unlimited downloads on unlimited devices and print at the place of your choice.

WHAT’S A COUPLES SHOOT?
Couples sessions generally apply toward engagements, anniversary, or just because shoots for two people crazy in love! We offer in-home lifestyle coverage, on-location coverage, adventure coverage, and more.

 

WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH A COUPLES SHOOT?

You will receive our “session experience guide” which will help you get the absolute most out of your photography experience with us! Of course, we are available to answer any questions you may have, but our guide includes a ton of tried and true information. From outfits, to prepping your man for photos, to locations, print recommendations, and more.

 

Most sessions are typically around 60-90 minutes, with the exception of adventure sessions. We will assist you with as much as you need! Generally we determine location options, timing, and your feel for the shoot. We’ll gladly assist you with outfits, and encourage you to spend time looking at our recent shoots, to get an idea what to expect.

 

During the shoot, you receive two photographers (making it more like a double date!) who are extremely well versed in comfortable, natural posing that is not only flattering, but authentic to you. After your shoot, we provide our galleries within about a week on average, but no longer than 2 weeks. All galleries are provided via a Pinterest-style online gallery of retouched high-resolution digital images with the rights to share on social media, make unlimited downloads on unlimited devices and print at the place of your choice. We also include duplicate copies of each image, lovingly edited in a high contrast black and white.

 

WHAT DO I WEAR?
Couples sessions can include up to two outfits. We highly encourage you to consider a casual and a more formal option during your shoot! Don’t be afraid to get dressed up, we love that! PROPOSAL FAQ

HOW DOES THIS WORK?
Proposals are by far the most stressful, yet our very favorite moment to shoot. They generally require a good amount of planning and communication prior, to ensure everyone is on the same page. The biggest stressor is there is no cell service in Big Sur, so if you are proposing in Big Sur, all planning needs to be done well in advance!

 

In short, we pick a time and place, it’s very smart to send over as much info as you have (a selfie of the two of you, even the car you’re driving, if you know what you’ll be wearing, etc.) so we can spot you early on. We’ll be in position, prepped to get both reactions, and whenever you’re ready, you pop the question. Most of the time we pose as if we’re tourists, but it’s completely up to you how hidden you want us to be!

 

WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH A PROPOSAL SHOOT?
You’ll receive our “proposal experience guide”, which includes every last detail for your options. We have a few different options for proposal coverage. Proposal coverage is just the proposal, and the moments afterward, followed by a few sweet images of the two of you. We also include, for those of you who have ladies who love photos, proposal + session. Upon booking us for a proposal, you’ll receive our custom, comprehensive guide to getting the best out of your proposal photography experience with us. After your shoot, we provide our galleries within about a day, but no longer than two days after your proposal. All galleries are provided via a Pinterest-style online gallery of retouched high-resolution digital images with the rights to share on social media, make unlimited downloads on unlimited devices and print at the place of your choice. We also include duplicate copies of each image, lovingly edited in a high contrast black and white.

WHAT’S AN ELOPEMENT/INTIMATE WEDDING?

Elopements and intimate wedding packages are for weddings with around 35 or less guests. We are not extremely strict on this guideline, so please contact us directly with your guest count and details of your day to see if your wedding qualifies for intimate wedding pricing.

 

WHAT’S INCLUDED WITH AN ELOPEMENT?
You’ll receive our “elopement experience guide”, which includes every last detail for your options. We include comprehensive information about locations all over the Big Sur coast, information on what to wear and what to bring, things to consider, travel options, local attractions, and more. After booking us for your elopement and receiving your elopement guide, you’ll have a custom elopement planner at your fingertips. After your elopement, we provide our galleries within about a week on average, but never longer than two weeks. All galleries are provided via a Pinterest-style online gallery of retouched high-resolution digital images with the rights to share on social media, make unlimited downloads on unlimited devices and print at the place of your choice. WEDDING FAQ

CAN I JUST HIRE YOU HOURLY?

We do not offer a la carte/ hourly pricing for weddings at this time. The amount of weddings we have photographed and the level of detail we provide, we want to ensure that every last detail is captured – it’s just our way. We’ve found that the couples who aren’t interested in 6 or more hours of coverage for their day usually aren’t the right couples for us.

You’ll receive our “wedding experience guide”, which includes every last detail for your options. We include comprehensive information about timeline hints for photo priority, information on what to bring, things to consider, an engagement guide, and more. After booking us for your wedding and receiving your wedding guide, you’ll have all our tips – basically a custom wedding planner at your fingertips. After your wedding, we provide our galleries within about a week on average, but never longer than two weeks. All galleries are provided via a Pinterest-style online gallery of retouched high-resolution digital images with the rights to share on social media, make unlimited downloads on unlimited devices and print at the place of your choice.
