Chris and Kathryn are two of the sweetest souls we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and photographing, I swear. These two and their love for each other is so pure and radiates from them entirely. You can see why they’re together the minute you meet them. It was honestly such an honor to photograph their elopement.
Kathryn chose Soaring Starkey to officiate their ceremony, and it was simply perfection. Soaring asked them prior to their day so many questions about love and their relationship and from that information she created the single most beautiful ceremony script I’ve ever heard in over hundreds of weddings.
I’m pretty sure we were all crying by the end.
Florals by the incredibly talented Kate Healey of Big Sur Flowers! Her bouquets are phenomenal and she grows and picks each flower herself, by hand!
Also, a huge thanks to Glen Oaks Big Sur for always providing such stunning cabins and a beautiful location to explore.
Oh, and let’s talk about Kathryn’s perfect blush dress for a second — Her friend ordered two dresses for her wedding from overseas, and this one didn’t fit her friend, but fit Kathryn near perfectly and was, in true elopement fashion, a steal of a deal! I love it when our brides are a little thrifty because it adds to their story and usually breaks the mold a bit. I was seriously obsessed with her dress and how flawlessly it matched her bouquet, and complimented Chris’ navy suit so well.
